Returns

Eligibility

Many of the goods we sell are exempt from being returned. We do not accept returns of products that are intimate in nature, sanitary goods, custom orders, sale items, gift cards, or downloadable products.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, and it must be returned in its original, unopened packaging. Products manufactured by Terrible Toyshop must be returned in the original, unopened shipping packaging (i.e., the cardboard box or bubble mailer used to ship the order).

Return Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs to return your item. Additionally, the original cost we incurred to ship your order to you (which usually exceeds the shipping fee charged at checkout) is non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping your order will be deducted from the value of your refund.

Damaged/Lost Shipments

Every once in a while, items arrive damaged or packages are lost in transit. If your order is damaged or does not arrive when expected, reply to your shipping confirmation email or contact us and we'll help sort it out.

Customer Support

So... you received your order, but it's not obvious how to use it? Feel free to reach out - you're probably not the first person to ask that question, and we can often point to photos and other resources to help get you going.

14 Day Return Period

Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to initiate a return. We consider a package to have been received when it is recorded as delivered on the parcel tracking tool at Canada Post's website.

Return Policy

Eligibility

Our Return Policy lasts 14 days from the delivery date according to the tracking information associated with your shipment. If your order was shipped using a delivery service without tracking, our Return Policy lasts 30 days after we ship the package. We do not offer refunds or exchanges after these time periods have elapsed. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

If you are shipping an item or items worth more than $75 USD, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you a notification email to inform you that we have received your returned item. In that email, we will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your refund is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment. We will process the credit within one business day of the notification email. You will typically receive that credit within five business days, depending on the payment method and your financial institution’s policies.

If you have not received a refund within five business days, contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please either reply to your order confirmation email, reach out through our contact form, or send us an email to ballgagbear@terribletoyshop.com.

Gift Items

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed or emailed to you, or we will issue points through a loyalty program that can be redeemed for the value of your return. If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will only accept a return at the gift giver’s request.
